Objectives: To provide a basic understanding of the FIA Program including:

·        Program overview, structure, design, organization,

·        Plot layout and measurements, and

·        Basics of FIA database structure and access of FIA data.

·        A tour of the new FIA office and an opportunity to meet some of the FIA staff.

Limit: 20-25 participants not including the trainers/instructors

Lunch: On your own

8:45 am – 9:20 am        Overview of the FIA plot layout and distribution

9:20 am – 9:30 am        Travel to the demonstration plot via your vehicle and/or “carpool” to FIA Demonstration Plot

9:30 am – 11:15 am      Visit the FIA Plot with demonstration and discussion – ?

11:15 am – 12:30 pm    Lunch on your own and Travel to FIA Office

12:30 pm – 12:40 pm    Welcome to FIA Office – Burl Carraway, SRS FIA Program Manager

12:40 pm – 2:00 pm      FIA overview and FIA data access training
